Merry Christmas

So Christmas was good. The kids had fun, it snowed, and we all had a good dinner. Here are some pictures of the day.

Now Teresa has no excuse to use my camera. With her new Hanna Montana Picture/video camera she can do it all on her own.

Corey can now be like his Uncle Carlos and drive a Silverado.

Gilberto and Shannon all smiles on Christmas

I know I know....bad hair day

Juan Carlos loves his new ear muffs....or whatever manly word is used for them.

Nathan is a fan of Twilight. James is his favorite character so I made this Mosaic for him. It is the picture of James, but when you look up close it is made of thousands of smaller images from the movie.

Ted loves his Hawks!

A picture for mom so that she can remember what all of us kids look like.

Auntie Gail thinks that we are bad stocking stuffers so she adds things in herself. Including these hairties.

Snow!

When I took the picture above I loved snow. It didn't bother me on the roads and it looked so pretty....However

This is what it looks like now.....I am over snow and it can go away!

The Amazon Kindle

My friend got one and my goal is to now get one. They are back ordered for 11 - 13 weeks, but this little thing is freaking amazing!

Don't know what it is?

It is Amazon's Wireless Reading Device! You can purchase and download up to 100 books or magazines to it and read them! Isn't that the coolest? You don't even need a computer for it. They also say that it is better for your eyes then a computer. If you get a SD card you can can keep more than 100 books on it.

So I am just letting you all know I am going to be getting this one day. I don't expect anyone to try and buy it as a gift as the cheapest I have found it is $249, but once the hype over it is done I will be searching for this and so buying it.

Of all the things around x-mas

Ok so I have lost my position at my day job. I knew it was coming and it really has been a breath of fresh air. The people that have joined the department within the last year have not been very inspiring as management. The rudeness, unsympatheticness, and downright laziness has brought the moral of the department down. It had turned into "Us vs. Them". So I was terminated and now can take a position over in our main office. The position pays 47% less than what I was making, but the money doesn't matter to me anymore. I will gladly take the pay cut to be under less stress. I feel bad for things to come to those that are still there and I hope good things for them. I don't see a positive outlook for the department anytime soon. I understand that the economy is bad, but extra efforts to contact more and more people is not going to help build the sales department if they continue to lower rates and raise targets. I don't see why they don't see the downfall to the sales agents. Maybe I look at things differently, but it just isn't going to happen. If you sell something for $1000 that is normally $2000 because people are not buying and then raise the sales target by 5% when current targets are not being met that just is a setup for failure.
In my new position it will not be my job to generate the sale, but to close it. I am looking forward to the fresh air, the nicer atmosphere, and the overall positive moral.

On another note. I will not be starting this position right away. My mother took a horrible fall. She must have surgery to fix her knee cap. It is scary to me because my grandmother died after knee surgery due to her heart condition. My mom has the same heart condition. I am being positive and sat in the hospital for almost 9 hours last night waiting for a confirmation of the surgery even with a massive migraine. Still no word on the surgery, but it will be next week. I pray that all will be well.

I have realized that the devil is more present during the holidays and I have prayed to god that I have the strength this year as I didn't last year.

Thanksgiving - What are you thankful for.

The object is to name five things you are thankful for. Now we all have many people and things we are thankful for, but lets narrow it down to five.

1 - My family in Utah. Mom, Dad, Jessica, Carolyn, Andrew, Matt, Paul, Joel, and Jared. They were all there for me when life got rough and are still there for me today with new additions Tucker, Dan, Parker, Korbin and Caden.

2 - My Family in Seattle. Juan Carlos, Shannon, Nathan, Gilberto, Teresa, Corey, and my birth mom. They have been there for me since I have been back to Seattle. Though my mother was not alway there she has done her best to turn her life around.

3 - Diane and Naivasha. Diane was my middle school teacher and Naivasha is her daughter (Though I think of her as a little sister). Diane saw I needed help when I was young and helped me to get with my new family in Utah. She took me in until the decision was final and in the midst of winter drove me to Utah.

4 - Daniela. When we first me we hated each other. God knew that we would work through it. She has been there for me through rough times since we met. She is alway there to talk and help when I need it.

5 - Life. I certainly took it for granted before my sister died last year. I am thankful I can talk, walk, hear, see, have all my limbs, and no serious illness (life threatening).

What are five things you are thankful for?
