About a year ago I watched an old movie that I saw when I was little. It was completely ruined. It was not how I remembered it. Actually some things about it were a little disturbing because I didn't understand them from when I was a kid.
I thought I would take another chance on it. So this morning I watched the Dark Crystal and then tonight Labyrinth (a Jim Henson day).
So the Dark Crystal was scary to me as a kid. The Skeksis are still creepy...nothing has changed there. I didn't understand the plot line better, but it was still, over all, a pretty good movie. Still creepy though.
Labyrinth - I remember loving this movie when I was little and I still do. The Fire Gang can go though. Those things didn't scare me when I was little, but that are pretty creepy now.

Love Labyrinth. I never saw Dark Crystal as a kid but I saw it a few years ago (probably 10 now, I think it was when I lived in Centralia) and I was not a fan at all. I was bored and kept getting distracted because I could not follow the plot. Not sure what that says about me, but it's the truth.
I think you can only love those movies if you did see them when you were a kid and not an adult. Goonies is kinda the same way. What was the movie you saw that was completely ruined?
Howard the Duck. It was not really a kid movie, but I think I thought it was and it just turned out to be so gross all grown up. Also I just rented the worst witch movie which was a kid film and that was kind of stupid now too. Sad :(
